Celebrate the life and works of J.R.R. Tolkien with crafts, a Zoom reading from selections of his works hosted by the Tolkien Society, and a viewing of The Fellowship of the Ring.
Tolkien Reading Day is an annual event organized by the Tolkien Society to encourage fans and organizations to celebrate and promote the life and works of J.R.R. Tolkien by reading passages from his books. It is usually held on March 25th, the anniversary of the Ring being destroyed and the completion of Frodo’s quest.
On Saturday, March 23rd we will come together for a Zoom Reading Session with readers from around the world sharing their favorite passages hosted by the Tolkien Society. We'll also have a LOTR inspired craft, coloring pages, and snacks, and a showing of the theatrical version of "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring."
And of course, part of the fun will be dressing up! So whether you're Hobbit, Elf, Dwarf, or person of Gondor, join us on Saturday, March 23 at 12:00 pm for some Lembas and a celebration of all things Tolkien!
