Join us for a FREE library field trip! We will visit the CA Raptor Center in Davis. This program is recommended for children 8 years and up.

PLEASE READ ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THIS EVENT.

Interested in Bald eagles? Hawks? Owls or Vultures? Then this program might just be for you!

Join us for a free fieldtrip to the California Raptor Center in Davis! Meet us at the Fairfield Civic Center Library in the children's area to check in and we will take a bus to Davis. Once at the Raptor Center, we will be given a 45-minute general information talk on raptors and participate in a Q&A. Next, we will tour the facility in 2 groups and participate in interactive science activities at the raptor museum. Afterwards, we will break for lunch. We will finish our day giving people a last chance to view the birds on their own before we depart back to the library.  

PLEASE NOTE: The Raptor Center is not a zoo. It is a working rehabilitation center designed exclusively for the care of birds of prey.

All ages are welcome but everyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. This program is recommended for children 8 years and up.

ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE REGISTERED FOR EVENT. Check in is from 10-10:15 AM. If you are not physically present at the library by 10:15 AM your spot(s) will be forefit to the next people on the waitlist.

WE WILL LEAVE THE LIBRARY AT 10:20AM AND COME BACK AT 2:15 - 2:30 PM. PLEASE EXPECT TO STAY THE ENTIRE DURATION OF THE FIELD TRIP. RSVP ONLY.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

AFTER you REGISTER for this event, please drop by the Children's desk to receive an informational hand out for our field trip! Also, you may pick up a bus waiver to sign early at the Children's desk. If not, waivers will be provided day of event.

- Bring a lunch/snacks and your own drinking water 

- Please wear walking or athletic type shoes

- Please, no gum or candy at the Center!

- YES! There are RESTROOMS at the facility! (None on the bus)

- Estimated travel time to and from the Raptor Center in Davis is about 30 min. Times may be prolonged dependent on traffic. Children must be able to remain seated at all times to be able to go on this trip.
