What better way to celebrate the Fall Harvest and Hispanic Heritage Month than with a cooking demo that celebrates the bounty of the harvest season and indigenous culinary and planting traditions. Join Chef Lisa Núñez-Hancock as she guides us through two seasonal recipes- Three Sisters Harvest Quesadillas, and a Autumnal Salsa. In this demo/workshop, you will learn about the indigenous planting tradition of corn, beans, and squash, and the nutritional benefits of this combination of plants to both the soil and our bodies. Together we will learn how to make an easy and nutritious vegetarian corn, bean, squash quesadilla, and a delicious seasonal salsa utilizing Fall produce. These nutritious and delicious plant-forward recipes are a great way to get more vegetables into your meals!
