Kinro Kansha no Hi, or, Labor Thanksgiving Day of Japan: A Day of Rest and Paying Tribute
This month: Kinra Kansha no Hi, or, Labor Thanksgiving Day of Japan - A Day of Rest and Paying Tribute
Thanksgiving in Japan is not like Thanksgiving in America. It is more like our Labor Day, and also children will give thank you cards to public sector workers like police, fire, hospital workers, and others. This holiday always falls on Nov. 23rd, and workers will take the day off to spend quiet time resting.
Drop in and write your own thank you card to give to someone in your life or community.
Please note, the library will close at 5pm this day.
