Join UC Master Gardeners for a talk about how to set up an irrigation system in your home garden.
Irrigation Basics for a Healthy Hot Summer Vegetable Garden
In our warm central California climate, we can grow fruits and veggies from anywhere in the world. The right irrigation will save time and keep your plants healthy throughout the hottest summer.
Join this talk to learn about how to irrigate your vegetable garden. We will cover the fundamentals of different types of irrigation, from overhead sprays to drip lines, with some ideas on how to set a system up right away and other ways to keep water in the ground despite the heat.
This talk is with Alex Russell, a UCCE Master Gardener for Solano County. He grows annual summer and winter crops in his home garden and his plot at Solano College and is particularly interested in sustainable and organic approaches to gardening.
PLUS: Check our our seed library before / after the event to get started growing your vegetable garden.
