Meet illustrator Priscila Soares and create art!

Priscila Soares is the illustrator of three books, including Cesaria Feels the Beat. She will bring this vibrant story to life for families by diving into the creative process behind the illustrations and offering a behind-the-scenes look at how Cesaria’s colorful world came to be. This appearance will include an art session- we'll make colorful masks- as well as discussions about the themes included in the book such as self-empowerment, deafness and our hearing differences and the celebration of carnival. Free books while supplies last! This program is recommended for children ages 5 - 10.
