Mind-Matters First presents hands-on activities for people ages five and older.
Mind-Matters First is a student-led neuroscience nonprofit. Their main focus is making neuroscience accessible and engaging through education, student research exposure, and community-based events.
People ages 5 and older can try various stations, including:
Reflex Tester Station
Test your reaction times either with a ruler-drop game or with a small motorized hand setup using sensors. It’s competitive and engaging for all ages.
Assemble-a-Neuron Puzzle
Assemble pieces like a puzzle: great for visual and tactile learning.
Muscle Signals Station
Using a device called the Muscle SpikerBox from Backyard Brains, you will see your actual muscle activity visualized in real time.
