Sew a holiday stocking for your pet at the JFK Library! The Vallejo John F. Kennedy Library is hosting a start-to-finish sewing workshop making the Paw-fect Stocking! This is a free pattern used with permission from Patterns for Pirates. We will provide a limited selection of materials, but you are more than welcome to bring your own materials if you have any you would prefer to use.  
 
Please have a picture of your pet handy for the introduction! 
 
We have 4 Singer sewing machines available for the workshop. If you have your own machine you would like to bring, please let us so know so we can set up the room accordingly. If you have any questions, please call the library: (866) 572-7587. 

Due to limited machinery and supplies, we require registration for this event. 
  
Participants in this adult program need to know some sewing machine basics such as threading a machine, sewing straight lines, curved lines, and maintaining consistent seam allowance. 

 
Weekly Schedule: 

December 6th: Introduction, fabric cutting, and preparation (no sewing yet) 
December 13th: Appliqué sewing 
December 20th: Finishing 

Supplies 

We will provide all materials, however you are welcome to bring your own fabric and thread if you prefer. 

• ½ yd exterior fabric (stable woven fabric like quilter’s cotton) 
• ½ yd lining fabric (stable woven fabric like quilter’s cotton or an old bedsheet) 
• ¼ yd accent fabric (stable woven fabric like quilter’s cotton) 
• ½ yd fusible fleece interfacing 
• 1/8 yd fusible mid-weight interfacing
