Join Mychal Threets—author, former Solano County Library librarian, and beloved Reading Rainbow host—for a joyful talk celebrating the launch of his new book, I’m So Happy You’re Here: A Celebration of Library Joy. Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 10:00AM at the Fairfield Community Center.

Mychal will be joined by an amazing group of author and illustrator friends, including Jeff Kinney, the #1 New York Times bestselling creator of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series; Kaylani Juanita, award-winning illustrator and author of Magnificent Homespun Brown and When Aidan Became a Brother; and Joanna Ho, New York Times bestselling author of Eyes That Kiss in the Corners.
Together, they’ll celebrate the joy of libraries and the power of stories that help kids see themselves and the world with kindness, pride, and imagination. Mychal will be available for a book signing immediately after the presentation.

Important ticket information:
This is expected to be a very popular event, and space is limited. Beginning Saturday, January 24th, tickets will be available for pick up at all Solano County Library locations, first come, first served. Please note that tickets are limited to one (1) per person, and individuals must be present to pick up their ticket. All ticketed attendees will receive free books at the event.
