Sew a quilted potholder at the JFK Library!
Sew a quilted potholder at the JFK Library! The Vallejo John F. Kennedy Library is hosting a start-to-finish sewing workshop making a quilted potholder using a classic Shoo Fly quilt block pattern. We will provide a limited selection of fabrics, but you are more than welcome to bring your own materials if you have any you would prefer to use.
We have 4 sewing machines available for the workshop. If you have your own machine you would like to bring, please let us so know so we can set up the room accordingly. If you have any questions, please call the library: (866) 572-7587.
Due to limited machinery and supplies, we require registration for this event.
Participants in this adult program need to know some sewing machine basics such as threading a machine and sewing straight lines.
Weekly Schedule:
April 7th: Design, fabric cutting, and piecing the block
April 14th: Quilting the layers and finishing the edges
