Sewing Workshop
Quilted Coasters
Tuesday, May 19
5:30pm - 7:30pm
Vallejo John F. Kennedy Library
The Kennedy MakerSpace CenterLearn how to improv quilt a set of coasters during this two-week program!
The Vallejo John F. Kennedy is hosting a start-to-finish guided sewing program inspired by the Quilt-As-You-Go Coasters workshop on our Creativebug database*. To make our coasters we will be using fabric scraps, and quilt batting. All materials will be provided, however if you have any fabric scraps you are waiting to use up, feel free to bring them to this program!
We have 4 sewing machines available for the workshop. If you have your own machine you would like to bring, please let us so know so we can set up the room accordingly. If you have any questions, please call the library: (866) 572-7587.
Due to limited machinery and supplies, we require registration for this event.
Participants in this adult program need to know some sewing machine basics such as threading a machine and sewing straight lines.
*How to log on to the Creativebug Database:
If you would like a preview of the contents of the workshop, please visit Creativebug. Use the Solano County Creativebug link to log in with your library card (must be a Solano County Library Card Holder). Faith Hill is the instructor for the Quilt-As-You-Go Coasters. You do not need to be a library cardholder to participate in the library program.
