Zipper Pouches

Dye and sew up a zipper pouch at the JFK Library

Make yourself a small zipper pouch in this beginner friendly sewing program. We will be providing all materials, and machines but if you already have any fabric you want to use, please feel free to bring it. Provided fabric is duck cotton canvas. If you bring your own fabric it must be a natural fiber such as cotton or linen to absorb dye properly.

Due to a limited number of sewing machines available at the library, registration is required. If you have your own machine you would like to bring, please let us know so we can set up the room properly to accomodate you. If you have any questions, please call the library: (866) 572-7587. 

You must be at least 15 years old to participate in this program.

June 16: Dyeing fabric pieces and choosing the zipper (no sewing yet)

June 23: Sewing the zipper pouch
