Beginner Sewing Workshop

Sew a tote bag at the JFK Library

Make yourself a tote bag in this beginner friendly sewing program. We will be providing all materials, and machines but if you already have any fabric you want to use, please feel free to bring it. Provided fabric is duck cotton canvas. If you bring your own fabric it must be able to be ironed and already be cut out. If you bring your own fabric, we recommend a rectangle around 31" x 16". We will be providing beige 1" cotton webbing for the tote bag handles. Once tote bags are sewn, we will be ironing on premade 707 vinyl decals onto the bag.

Choose between the afternoon or evening session. Both are the same so you only have to sign up for one!

Due to a limited number of sewing machines available at the library, registration is required. If you have your own machine you would like to bring, please let us know so we can set up the room properly to accomodate you. If you have any questions, please call the library: (866) 572-7587.

You must be at least 15 years old to participate in this program.
