Meeting RoomCurious kids ages 6 - 10 explore books, art, and science.
In each session we'll enjoy a longer picture book and then explore it further through an art project or science activity. This is a pilot program for kids ages 6 - 10; if there's enough interest we'll continue it beyond these three events.
September 2 “No Monkeys, No Chocolate" by Melissa Stewart and Allen Young. What exactly do monkeys have to do with chocolate? Find out, plus taste test chocolate & investigate its properties.
October 7 “I Was: The Stories of Animal Skulls” by Katherine Hawker & Natasha Donovan. Investigate owls and dissect a pellet.
November 4 "The Spacesuit: How a Seamstress Helped Put Man on the Moon" by Alison Donald and Ariel Landy. Sew a small planet or spacecraft.
